SloMo: Golf

Saturday's child is a master in Applied Artificial Intelligence

Today I have mostly been graduating, which involved getting up early to be seated by 9.30am in the "Great Hall", but not after first having my mug shot being taken. The humourous section of this story is that, not only did I have stupidly long hair which doubled the hilarity of wearing a mortar board but my photographer was at a rather disadvantage. With surprising pre-planning I had my photo taken before hand, so the photo place was mostly empty, and hence there were 8 photographers available. I found it strange, then, that someone of my tall stature was assigned to a guy who was near dwarf (is that politically correct?) size. Not only could he not reach my mortar board to adjust it, but he had to fetch a tiny little box/step/stall because when he adjusted the camera for my height, he couldn't reach the button. Obviously it was mightily hard to keep a straight face, but it was all worth it, for a professionally created photo of me looking like a spaktard.

Afterwards I chilled with the crazy AI people, before entering the hall, and fucking shit up with Fluela. Unfortunately, Stu ruined the entire day for everyone but disrespecting the right honourable chancellor by not taking his hat off before approaching her. In a sane world, instant execution would have been a suitable punishment, luckily I have the incident here on (the worst quality) embedded video (ever):

After the ceremony I went to the Long Lounge, home of the crazy Tom and Dan "morning after the all nighter before" lunches, with my mommy, and we got some food. I think I got a greek salad. However, during the ordering of food, young Stu the constant hat wearer rang me to inform me of Ed and Richard's arrival. So I ran back down and was like "sup honkys". And although I never saw them on stage, apparently they were all there in their sensual (at least Richard's) robes. After lunch, I drove back home to shower and change out of my sexy get up and wandered into town to chat with a man made of Orange. The new Princesshey is pretty sexy, though just succeeds in increasing the already over-branded high streets branded shops.

SNL short....

Meanwhile in the bat cave...

I woke up at 11am after going to bed at 5am, still with a lot of work to do. Oh how you mock me imaginary Jefferry on the left shoulder....

So it turns out Bioshock greatest game ever. Started it up, watched the beginning intro sequence, and I was like "whoa the water effects are amazing in this cut-scene".... Then nothing happened for a while, and I realised it was actually in game. The whole demo is extremely awesome, go buy a 360 and play it now, and it will prolly take a lot less than a whole day to download now the rush has calmed down....

Stranglehold is also very good and very max paynesque, though lacks max himself, who is equally awesome. Other demos I tried today instead of working include Stuntman and Tenchu. Both meh.

In related news: my computer is still sexy, my sleeping hours are horrendous and I did some work..... more BioShock:

Roflcopter Alert!!!!

(No Spoilers)

It's no mistake Tom is in tomorrow.

I nearly made a myspace today; that'll be me being sweeped up in the online social community explosion. Then I remembered how I hate myspace, and everything in my life fell back into place.

At some points I'm starting to get used to living at home, which scares me. But then at other times I get pangs of missing exeter, though I'm not sure if I'm just missing all my possessions....Though neither place has enough space for me, my room at uni is over crowded and actually has most of my possessions, yet I have no movement space and no room for my guitar. My room here is just as small, except there's no room for any computers, or desks or anything. The "spare room" where I normally set up my computer is so cluttered with junk its nearly claustrophobic, and I can't really find space to set up my electric guitar.

When I get a house I'm gonna need a bed room, a tech room, and a music room. As I also have a piano to put somewhere. And I'll need a library most probably. And a room with a pool table in. etc. I may even need a kitchen.

If I changed all the instances of "pipe" in this report to "pie" my project would be much more interesting. Anyway, fuck yeah, on to some programming, even if it's just simple file reading and euclidean distance stuff. A* tomorrow. Who reckons I can get it done by my meeting with Ed on Friday.. as well as having time to drive back to Exeter tomorrow morning. Don't answer that dan....

Flight of the Conchords

I first got into Flight of the Conchords via the their hilarious yet funky songs, thanks to youtube. Billed as "Formerly New Zealand's fourth most popular folk-parody duo", they've now got a comedy tv show in America which is phenomenal. Not only does it show case their awesome song writing skills, but its damn funny all the time as well. All of the episodes (1-6) are available on youtube as I type, so go watch it fools!

I was pondering what tune to embed, and I couldn't decide, so I randomly chose 2:

If there's one reason to watch the Simpsons Movie

It's this:

Current Obsession:

I actually discovered this song through this video, but I don't want u all to think I spend hours watching peoples' blogs on youtube....

I remember a golden age of blogging, when rather than just a boring narrative of my days, I supplied wit, humour, and a large amount of randomness to the masses. Often via the medium of general musings and observations about this crazy crazy world. Some day I'll remember how I remembered all my thoughts, perhaps a dictaphone may be of use.

Maybe work and xbox has crushed my creative prowess, or what there was it of it. No matter! I shall either regurgitate old subject matter, find randomness on my hard drive, or force some excrement of the mind to appear on here. As long as everyone remembers I'm a little bit emo and a little bit sappy I hope we shall not be forced to dual to the death.

What of me now you ask? Well I shall depart to my bed, before traveling to the magical land that is bristolia... unfortunately I may get there 10 years before everyone else. Mainly because I rule. Actually, as a reward for your undivided attention, I shall post some more "comical" drawings...

I think this balances out the other video:

Updates later... maybe.

Holy Crap¬
